I’ve never had Jamaican food before, so everything was a new experience. My granddaughter and I shared several dishes, starting with spicy shrimp, which was absolutely delicious. (Careful, it uses ghost peppers, but we asked for not TOO spicy and they were perfect.) The oxtail entree was very tender and flavorful, and it was great mixed with the rice. I also tried the ackee and saltfish sandwich, which was good but very salty. The rum cake looks like a piece of dark chocolate cake, feels like you’re eating fudge, and tastes strongly of the puréed fruits in it, and of course, rum. Very different! The service was excellent, and the. cook/server/owner was delightful. It was her birthday, as well as the 2nd anniversary of the restaurant’s opening. I hope she does really well there. We’re already planning what we’ll order next time. Maybe curried goat and jerk chicken?

What an incredible dining service! We had the jerk chicken roll, curry goat, ackee & saltfish, and soursop juice (highly recommend this drink!) and everything tasted authentic and delicious. We were really taken with the lovely ambience, the beautiful decor, and our server's warmth who came to check in on our needs periodically and gave extra context and information on the menu items whenever needed. Highly recommend!

This restaurant was awesome! My husband and I traveled to visit family and found this restaurant and enjoyed everything thing from the food to the hospitality! Rossesdda was the best server I have had in a very long time. Had the table laughing and entertained the whole time. Run punch, rice and peas and curry chicken was delicious… finished off the meal with a slice of rum cake. Will be stopping back by on my next trip to Connecticut.
